Matt Merdian is a licensed real estate agent with NeJame Realty in Orlando Florida. Before investing in real estate, Matt held several licenses (Series 6, 7, and 55) with OppenheimerFunds, American Express Financial Advisors, and Market Wise Securities. Matt was educated to day trade by renowned investor and published author David Nassar. Matt and his colleagues traded David’s multi-million dollar hedge fund in Denver.
In 2003, looking for a change in both career and location, Matt moved from Denver to Orlando and began investing in real estate in the metropolitan Orlando area. One property turned into two; two turned into six. Six turned into a dozen and it continued to grow. Within 2 years Matt and his business partner took $80,000 and turned it into a net worth of over $1,000,000 each. The experiences gained over those many endeavors prodded Matt to write his first book about real estate to help educate others in his expertise: Tax Deeds.
In 2007 Matt Merdian and his business partner Laurence wrote Real Estate Tax Deed Investing – How We Made Over One Million Dollars in Two Years! This book, as of 2014, is still an Amazon best seller for Tax Deed Investing. Seven years later it is still Amazon’s #1 selling Tax Deed Book. This book has been a guide for thousands of readers who are looking to enter the Tax Deed Investing world. Many of Matt’s client’s have been able to leave their ‘day jobs’ to pursue a career in Tax Deeds.
Matt and Laurence received many requests for a follow up book that included other subjects outside of Tax Deeds. This lead to Matt’s co-authored his second book, 101 Rules of Real Estate Investing.
After the release of the second book, Matt began to work directly with high net worth investors and institutions to create high growth portfolios specializing in Tax Deeds, REOs, and Foreclosures.
